Legislators in Poland have repeatedly shown that they do not fully understand the specific nature of an artist's work. I believe the time has come to understand it at last, and to change it. An artist making work is not an unemployed person with an occasional hobby, but someone working to enrich the culture of their country. Artistic activity should be considered not only in aesthetic terms - craft or mastery - but also in terms of its significant impact on economic development.
