The bronze sculpture is an intimate version of the monumental Hemingway realised in Brazil. It preserves its core idea while reducing the large-scale composition to a synthetic, almost archetypal form.

A single dynamic mass rises from a massive base and flows into a slender, silver point. The line of the sculpture evokes at once the symbolism of a bull's horn and of a spear - two signs inseparably bound to the history of confrontation, courage and risk.

The form is a record of the energy released when two equal forces meet, of the moment of maximum tension in which movement and stillness, instinct and awareness remain in perfect balance.

The title refers to Ernest Hemingway, whose fascination with the bullfight went far beyond describing a spectacle. In his writing the arena became a place where character, dignity and courage in the face of death were put to the test. The sculpture takes up that dialogue and reduces it to a single, ascetic form.
