The album Andrzej Lichota: Painting presents the most significant works of the contemporary artist, painter, draughtsman, director, and sculptor.
It primarily features paintings created in the tradition of expressive abstraction and inspired by the artist’s personal experiences. Sculpture also plays an important role in his practice, alongside landscapes, structures and fragments, as well as encounters, places, and broadly understood references to archetypes.
The artist has created several painting series, including Australia, Iran, La Gomera, and Corrida. The album includes an introductory essay by Urszula Kozakowska-Zaucha, complemented by the graphic design of Dr Michał Piekarski.
