Silver Mist, 2016

Silver Mist constructs space through overlapping layers of matter and subtle relationships of light. A reduced palette of silvery greys gives the painting a hushed, almost monochromatic structure in which form remains fluid and continuously transforming.

Here painting does not describe a landscape, but its atmosphere. The matter of the image evokes a process of continuous emergence and disappearance, leaving the trace of a space more felt than depicted.
