Gementes, 2015/2016

Gementes builds a space suspended between light, reflection and memory. The horizontal composition and the overlapping layers of paint create a painting in which the boundaries between the material and the immaterial gradually blur.

The surface of the painting does not describe a place. It preserves the experience of silence, of time, and of many layers of reality coexisting.
