The La Gomera series grows out of the experience of an island whose landscape is shaped by volcanic forms, shifting light and a rhythm set by nature. The isolation of the place and its concentrated atmosphere became the impulse for paintings that convey the experience of presence and of space.

In this series the painting becomes quieter and more focused. An abstract language makes it possible to cross the border between observation and contemplation, leading to reflection and to a deeper awareness in the way we perceive the world around us.
