Blue Rhythm, 2016

Blue Rhythm develops a painterly language based on rhythm, repetition and a reduction of means. Vertical bands of colour organise the space of the painting, creating a structure in which tensions arise from the relationships between light, matter and proportion.

Formal economy strengthens the force of the composition. Repetition does not lead to monotony; it builds a pulsating arrangement in which every element remains part of a larger order.
